Grand Valley won its second tournament in a row, as they shot 284 both days (568 total) to take a five stroke victory in the Great Lakes Spring Qualifier in Auburn, Ind. Lewis University finished second, shooting 573, Bellarmine third (575), Ferris State shot 577, and Missouri-St. Louis rounded out the top five with 584.

Brad Franz finished first for the Lakers and tied for second individually. He shot a 69 in round one and 67 in round two, for a total of 136, which was six strokes under par. Franz fell just one stroke shy of a first place finish.

Jacob Hamilton finished fifth overall with a 141, Casey Smits tied for 10th, shooting 144, and Kevin Kremer finished 33rd, with a 149.

Grand Valley will play in the NCAA Super Regional in Boliver, Mo. May 5-7.
