Results

Grand Valley State's men's golf team claimed a 12-stroke margin of victory at the Great Lakes Regional Qualifier #3 held at Deer Track Golf Course in Auburn, Ind. The Lakers tallied a 13-stroke lead after shooting a 281 on day one and followed it up with a 312 on day two to claim the title. Ferris State and Saginaw tied for second place with a two-day score of 605.

Kevin Kremer claimed the individual title after shooting a 69 on day one and a 75 on day two. His two day total of 144 was two-strokes better than second place Jason Buffone from Lewis University. Tying for fourth place overall was Kyle Murphy, who shot a 148 (71, 77) for the Lakers. Steve Larson tied for 13th place, shooting a 151, while Jacob Hamilton tied for 23rd with a 154 (70, 84). Chris Johnson rounded out the scoring for the Lakers, tallying a 158 (78, 80).

GVSU will play at the Motor City Invitational on Friday, April 23 in Detroit, Mich. and at the Hillsdale Invitational in Coldwater, Mich. on Saturday and Sunday.
