Ashland, Ohio - Grand Valley State fired a 36-hole total of 622 to finish in a tie for seventh at the Ashland Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Lakers opened the two-day tourney with an opening round 314, followed by a day-two total of 308. GVSU will play at the Findlay Invitational on Sunday (April 15) and Monday (April 16).

Matt Johnson carded an opening 18 total of 78, followed by a 73 to finish in a tie for eighth with a 151. Steve Larson finished in a tie for 12th with a 36-hole total of 153. Larson shot a 78 in the opening 18, followed by a 75. Josh Orler opened with an 82, but bounced back with a 76 for a two-day total of 158 and finished tied for 32nd.
