Grand Valley State won the Findlay Alltel Invitational this weekend by a seven stroke margin, tallying a two-round score of 588. Freshman Josh Orler won the individual title in a playoff. He tallied a 142 (72, 70), along with Craig Bishop from Mercyhurst. Ferris State finished in second place with a 595.
Sophomore Kyle Murphy tied for fifth place with a two-day score of 146 (75, 71). Freshman Tony Mango recorded a 150 (76, 74), which tied for 15th place, while sophomore Steve Larson tied for 22nd place with a 152 (75, 77). Freshman Mark Pawlowski rounded out the scoring for the Lakers, posting a 156, which tied him for 47th place.
The men will compete at the NCAA Regional Invitational in Indianapolis on April 17-18.
