Sophomore Kyle Murphy led the Lakers taking third place overall as he shot a 71 in the first round and a 74 in round two for a total of 145.

Results

Grand Valley State's men's golf team won the Riverman Invitational hosted by Missouri St. Louis. The Lakers tallied a two-round score of 588 to win by five strokes over Saginaw Valley State. GVSU will travel to Findlay, Ohio for the Alltel Invitational on April 9-10.

Sophomore Kyle Murphy led the Lakers taking third place overall as he shot a 71 in the first round and a 74 in round two for a total of 145. Freshmen Josh Orler (75-72) and Tony Mango (74, 73) tied for fourth place with a 147. Sophomore Steve Larson finished with a 149, which tied him for 13th place. Freshman Matt Johnson rounded out the scoring for the Lakers with a 185 for 60th place.
