Highland Heights, Kent. - Kyle Murphy shot a two-under par 142 at the Northern Kentucky NCAA Spring Regional to help the Lakers claim a first-place finish with a team score of 580 at the 20-team tourney. The Lakers fired a 293 opening round total, followed by a tourney-best 287 in round two.

Steve Larson finished fifth with a two-day total of 144, while Matt Johnson tied for 13th with a 148. Josh Orler tied for 21st (150) and Tony Mango was 45th (153).

Grand Valley State will return to action April 1st at the Missouri-St. Louis Invitational.
