Allendale, Mich. - The NCAA DII football committee announced late Saturday night that Grand Valley State (12-0) will play at Northwest Missouri State (11-1) in one of two NCAA DII National Semifinals Saturday, Dec. 8. ESPN2 will televise the contest between the Lakers and Bearcats live at 9 p.m. (ET). Valdosta State (11-1) will be at California, Pa. (12-0) in the other semifinal at 11 a.m. (ET) on ESPNU.

Grand Valley State advanced to its sixth NCAA DII semifinal with an impressive 41-21 victory over Central Washington Saturday (Dec. 1) afternoon. Sophomore QB Brad Iciek had a hand in all six TDs scored by the Lakers, rushing for four and throwing for two. Sophomore running back Blake Smolen set a GVSU playoff record with his 200 yards rushing on 20 carries. NW Missouri State claimed a 26-13 win at Chadron State as Xavier Omon rushed for over 300 yards.
