Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State athletics and Nesquik have teamed up to present Laker football fans with the "Laker Football Playoff Tailgate Radio Show," set for Saturday, Dec. 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. live on WMUS 106.9 FM. The show will originate live from Lot C next to the GVSU Arena. The Grand Valley Sports Network's own Steve Lloyd-Jones and Fox Sports analyst, Rob Rubick, will co-host the one-half hour show.
Lloyd-Jones and Rubick will break down the NCAA DII National Semifinal playoff game between Grand Valley State and Carson-Newman that is set to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. in Lubbers Stadium. The game will be televised live on ESPN with Pam Ward and Ray Bentley calling the action. In addition, the show will include Nesquik sampling, Taco Bell coupons for FREE Tacos, free coffee from Lake Michigan Credit Union's Perk, free GVSU football giveaways and free food from Uccello's.
The tailgate show will be followed by GVSN's production of the GVSU football game broadcast with the traditional LMCU pre-game show starting at 3:00p.m. GVSN's game broadcast of Laker football can be heard live on eight radio stations across the state of Michigan. The voice of Laker football, Dick Nelson, and Lloyd-Jones will call the action.
Fans can listen to the Huntington Bank post game report following the football game. The show will include interviews and a live feed of the NCAA post game press conference.
