Prior to GVSU: Spent two years at the University of Toledo...Played in 11 games, starting four of them as a sophomore, totaling 14 tackles and one interception to go with two pass break-ups...As a freshman, he played in 11 games, starting one, and had 24 tackles, one interception, and three pass break-ups...Returned nine kickoffs, averaging 17.2 yards per return with a long of 28.
High School: Earned second-team All-Butler county honors while rushing for 920 yards and six touchdowns as a senior...Caught 11 passes for 134 yards and three touchdowns...Also played defensive back...Selected to play in the Big 33 All-Star Game...Ranked as the 61st-best player in the state by Ohio High Magazine, 73rd in the state by Scout.com and the 31st-best cornerback in the nation by ESPN.com.
