David Sartin enters his third year as an assistant on the Laker coaching staff. Sartin will work with the tight ends and the defensive scout team.
Sartin spent five years (2001-2005) as an assistant coach at North Park University in Chicago, Ill. He coached on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball while at North Park. Sartin was an assistant coach at Wartburg for two years (1999-2000) where the Knights were combined 28-3.
Sartin was a standout player at DIII power Mount Union from 1993-96. Mount Union was 51-3 during his career with two National Championships (1993-96). Dave then spent one season as a student-assistant with the Purple Raiders.
Sartin, who is an avid fisherman, enjoys all outdoor activities. He is single and resides in Hudsonville.
