Prior to GVSU: Played three seasons at Eastern Michigan University...Led the team in passing efficiency in 2009 as he completed 56-of-106 passes for 634 yards, four touchdowns, and four interceptions...Played in seven games, starting six of them...As a sophomore he played in five games, completing 45-of-73 passes for 574 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 32 times for 138 yards...In his freshman year, he played in seven games, starting two of them, and completed 50-of-99 passes for 544 yards and three touchdowns while rushing 32 times for 135 yards and two touchdowns.
High School: Prepped at Pontiac Notre Dame Prep under Head Coach John Callahan...Threw for 1,260 yards and four touchdowns as a senior while rushing for 959 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior...Named to the All-Catholic League team while also earning All-County honorable mention honors...Chosen as the team's MVP after leading them to the Catholic League title...Named honorable mention Class B All-State by the Detroit News and honorable mention All-Metro North...Selected as the 46th best player in Michigan on Tom Markowski's Blue Chip list, and the Detroit Free Press' Mick McCabe ranked him 39th in the state...As a junior, threw for 1,112 yards and nine touchdowns while running for 650 yards and 14 touchdowns en route to being named all-Catholic, all-league, and all-county honorable mention.
