2007: Redshirted...Moved to tight end in spring practice.

High School: Prepped at Cary-Grove (Ill.) High School...Played for Bruce Kay...Led team to a combined 35-3 record during three years on the varsity and a runner-up finish in the 2004...Rushed for 1,284 yards and 13 TDs as a junior...Tallied 1,007 all-purpose yards as a senior...Notched 52 tackles, five interceptions, returning two for TDs, and 6.5 sacks as a senior...Named the Pioneer Press Defensive Player of the Year as a senior...Chicago Sun-Times All-Area team and the Daily Herald Player of the Year...Two-time all-conference and all-area selection...Also earned all-conference, all-area and all-state honors in baseball.
