High School: Prepped at Muskegon Heights High School...Played for head coach Tommie Elliot...Member of the National Honor Society and the National Honor Roll...During his high school career he hauled in 87 receptions for 2,132 receiving yards and 23 TDs during prep career...Tallied 120 career tackles and picked off 13 passes...Caught 39 passes for 810 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior...Named No. 26 on Mick McCabe's Fab 50 list of the top state of Michigan recruits...Detroit News and Detroit Free Press honorable mention All-State as a senior...Associated Press second-team All-State selection...Earned Detroit Free Press first-team Division 5 All-State as a junior...Earned all-state and all-area plaudits in basketball and track.
