High School: Prepped at West Bloomfield High School under head coach Jim Thomas...As a senior, he had 53 catches for 535 yards and five touchdowns while running the ball 36 times for 570 yards and six touchdowns...Named to the Detroit News All-Metro North team, the Oakland Press All-Oakland County Dream Team, and to the Spinal Column Newsweekly All-Area team...As a junior, he had 20 catches for 335 yards and five touchdowns along with 63 carries for 655 yards, 12 punt returns for 175 yards, and 14 kickoff returns for 312 yards and two touchdowns while being named all-conference and all-area.
