GVSU Leads GLIAC With First-Team Selections
13 Lakers earn GLIAC plaudits
2010: Earned third varsity letter as a reserve offensive lineman...GVSU's most versatile offensive lineman.
2009: Earned second varsity letter as a combo offensive lineman/tight end...Played in 14 games with three starts...Saw action at offensive guard and tight end.
2008: Earned first varsity letter as a reserve offensive lineman...Also participated in the throws for the GVSU track & field team.
2007: Member of the squad...Also participated for the GVSU track & field team in the throws.
2006: Redshirted.
High School: Prepped at Countryside High School in Clearwater, Florida...Tallied 57 tackles and five QB sacks as a senior...Earned All-Suncoast Conference plaudits as a senior...Named all-county as a junior and senior...Defensive line MVP as a senior...Team was a combined 27-7 during prep career...Earned all-state honors in the shot and discus as a junior and senior.
Personal: Son of Gary and Kim Evans...Business major...Father was an all-american and the the first GVSU football player to play professional football (N.Y. Jets).
