Tiffin, Ohio - #2 Grand Valley State jumped out to a 45-31 halftime lead and never looked back en route to a 90-61 victory over Tiffin Sunday afternoon. GVSU will return to action Thursday, Jan. 3 at Northern Michigan.

Grand Valley State took the lead for good (17-15) on a Justin Ringler jumper at the 13:19 mark of the first half. The Lakers built their largest lead of the opeing 20 minutes when Callistus Eziukwu hit a short jumper to give GVSU a 43-27 lead with 1:55 left in the first half. The Lakers continued to build on its lead and led by as many as 31 points in the second half.

Senior guard Jason Jamerson led the way with 20 points and six assists, while Justin Ringler added 17 points and four assists. Nick Freer added 12 points, Pete Trammell 11 points and four assists and freshman Toreau Brown 10 points. GVSU shot 58.5 percent from the floor (31-53) and recorded 12 steals.
