Allendale, Mich. - #2 Grand Valley State went on a 18-0 run midway through the first half and never looked back en route to a 78-37 victory over Rochester College Monday night at the GVSU Arena. Grand Valley State will Aquinas College Friday night at 7 p.m.

GVSU shot 61.5 percent in the first half, hitting 16-of-26 shots from the floor, while Rochester hit just 22.7 percent from the floor (5-22). The Lakers, which led 42-16 after 20 minutes of action, opened the second half with a 14-1 run to build a 56-17 lead. GVSU led by as many as 42 points in the second half.

Eleven of 12 Lakers that played scored, led by Nick Freer's game-high 13 points. Pete Trammell added 11 points, four rebounds and four steals, while Callistus Eziukwu chipped in 10 points and six rebounds in 20 minutes of play. Justin Ringler scored nine points and dished out a career-high seven assists. GVSU dished out 21 assists on 30 baskets and forced Rochester into 28 turnovers.
