Allendale, Michigan - Grand Valley State impoves to 7-1 overall and remains undefeated in the GLIAC (2-0) with a 81-72 win over the Lakers of Lake Superior State. Courtney James lead the GVSU, scoring 24 points and tallying 4 assists. Marcus Wallace added 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Eric Chess had a solid performance scoring 13 on 5-7 shooting for the Lakers.

Scott Jamison led Lake Superior with 17 points. GVSU returns to action on December 19 where they travel to Quincy, Illinois to participate in the Quincy Tournament. The Lakers will play Quincy on the 19th at 7:30 pm (CST), and Truman State on the 20th beginning at 5:15 pm (CST).
