Grand Valley State defeated Hope College, 71-58, Friday in the second game of the Select Bank Classic at Van Andel Arena. The Lakers are now 4-1 overall and will face Calvin College Saturday, Nov. 29 at 8:00 p.m. in the Championship Game of the Select Bank Classic.
Eric Voisin recorded seven points and 11 rebounds for the Lakers, while Marcus Wallace led the team with 16 points. Mike Hall, Melvin White, and Courtney James all tallied 11 points, while Jeff Grauzer chipped in 10 points.
Grand Valley had a 35-28 halftime lead and didn't look back as they held the lead throughout the second half. The Lakers tallied a 42-28 rebounding edge.
