St. Louis, Missouri - #4-ranked Grand Valley State outscored Christian Brothers 32-20 in the final 20 minutes and went on to claim a 56-47 victory Saturday night in the Missouri-St. Louis Classic. GVSU will play Missouri-St. Louis Saturday night at 8 p.m.

Christian Brothers jumped out to a 27-24 halftime lead and the contest remained close until the Lakers went on a 16-4 scoring run over the final eight minutes. Senior center Dan Redder scored 16 second-half points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Lakers. Jason Jamerson chipped in 12 points and six rebounds, while Pete Trammel added 11 points. GVSU hit 19-of-44 shots from the floor and six-of-16 from three-point land. The Laker defense limited Christian Brothers to just 16-of-49 shooting from the floor. GVSU turned the ball over just 10 times.
