Grand Valley State defeated Lewis University, 83-74, Saturday. The Lakers are now 2-1 overall. GVSU will host Rochester College on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
GVSU was led by Marcus Wallace who tallied 28 points and seven rebounds. Freshman Mike Hall added 19 points and three assists. Eric Chess and Jerry Wallace each contributed seven points.
The Lakers took a 39-35 lead into halftime and outscored Lewis 44-39 in the second half. Grand Valley shot 55.1% for the game, while holding Lewis to 40.3% from the field.
