Grand Valley fell, 73-62, against Northwood in a GLIAC North Division matchup Thursday night. The Lakers drop to 13-12 overall and 5-11 in GLIAC action, while Northwood improves to 15-10 overall and 9-7 in GLIAC play.

Northwood shot 52.2% in the first half and held GVSU to just 30.8% shooting to take a three-point halftime lead. Grand Valley shot just 22.7% (5-of-22) from behind the three-point line and just 32.7% from the field in the game.

The Lakers were led by junior foward Eric Chess who recorded 20 point and eight rebounds and sophomore guard Courtney James who added 17 points. Freshman forward Mike Hall tallied 12 points and seven rebounds and sophomore guard Jerry Wallace added eight points.

Grand Valley will return home for its final two regular season games next week. GVSU will host Michigan Tech on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 8:00 p.m. and Northern Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3:00 p.m.
