Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State earned a 73-63 GLIAC victory over Lake Superior State on Saturday in the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. Grand Valley jumped out to a nine-point halftime lead, and increased the advantage to as much as 16 in the second half and were never threatened down the stretch. GVSU held LSSU to only 37% shooting on the game and pulled down 15 offensive rebounds to earn the win. Senior Jason Bauer led GVSU with 16 points and 12 rebounds. GVSU improves to 10-12 on the season and 5-9 in GLIAC action while LSSU falls to 12-12 (6-9).

Bauer hit only three field goals but made 10 of his 12 shots from the free throw line. Jerry Wallace also hit double-figures with 11 points, including three buckets from downtown. Duke Cleveland added nine points and 11 rebounds.

Grand Valley will play at Ferris State on Monday at 8:00 pm before hosting Saginaw Valley State on Thursday in the final home game of the regular season.
