Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. - Grand Valley State dropped an 87-73 decision at Lake Superior State (9-10, 3-7) Thursday (Jan. 23) night. GVSU, which falls to 8-9 overall and 3-6 in GLIAC action, will attempt to break a two-game losing skid Saturday (Jan. 25) at Saginaw Valley State.

Lake Superior State jumped out to a 38-32 lead after 20 minutes of action and never looked back en route to a 14 point win. Freshman guard Al Mans led GVSU in scoring for the second straight game with 16 points. Duke Cleveland scored a season-high 14 points, while freshman Nate Bassett chipped in with 11 points. Jason Bauer and Jerry Wallace each scored 10 points for the Lakers.
