Grand Valley State's men's basketball team dropped an 88-82 decision against GLIAC rival Ferris State on Saturday. The Lakers fall to 10-2 overall and 2-1 in GLIAC contests.

The game was an offensive battle as the Lakers shot 48.2% from the field and the Bulldogs tallied a 51.6% field goal percentage. Grand Valley recorded 11-of-22 three-pointers, while FSU made 15-of-29 from behind the three-point arc.

Junior forward Marcus Wallace led the Lakers with 27 points and six rebounds, while freshman guard Mike Hall chipped in 17 points and six boards. Freshman guard Brian Arnold came off the bench and added nine points, while senior Melvin White also tallied nine points.

GVSU will be on the road again next week as they travel to Wayne State on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 7:30 p.m. and to Hillsdale on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 3:00 p.m.
