Terrance McGee is beginning his second year as part of the Grand Valley State University coaching staff. In 2010-11, McGee helped GVSU finish the year with a 19-8 record and enter the GLIAC Tournament as the #3 seed.
During his playing days, McGee spent two years at Kirkwood Community College (1999-2001) before enrolling at Southwest Missouri State in 2001. McGee averaged 14.2 points and 4.6 rebounds as a junior en route to being named to the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Second Team and All-Newcomer Team. McGee followed with a senior season in which he averaged 14.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. He earned First Team All-MVC plaudits and All-Defensive Team honors as the Bears reached the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title game. McGee played professionally for seven years following his collegiate career.
