Former Laker pitcher Matt Thorton will start his first major league baseball game on Thursday, July 1 for the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners will host the Texas Rangers at 1:35 PT. Thorton made his first-ever major league appearance on Sunday as he pitched four innings in relief against San Diego.
