Senior pitcher Grant Payton has signed a free-agent contract with the Rockford RiverHawks of the Independent Frontier League. Payton wrapped up his career as a Laker with a 21-6 overall mark, including a single-season record 12 wins in 2006. The Frontier League includes 10 teams across the Midwest with teams in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
