Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State continues its rise up the Division II national rankings this week. GVSU, winners of 10 straight and 19-of-21, are ranked seventh in both the American Baseball Coaches Association and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association polls. The Lakers, 34-8 overall and 18-3 in GLIAC play, are also first in the NCAA DII North Central Regional rankings.

Grand Valley State will host Mercyhurst (31-11, 17-5) in a key GLIAC series at home this Saturday (April 29) and Sunday (April 30). Saturday's first pitch is set for 1 p.m. at the GVSU Baseball Field.
