2012: NCBWA Midwest Region Freshman of the Year...ABCA First Team All-Midwest Region...Daktronics and NCBWA Second Team All-Midwest Region...GLIAC All-Tournament Team...GLIAC Freshman of the Year...Second Team All-GLIAC...Played in 57 games (56 starts)...Led the team in batting average (.414), runs (51), hits (79) and stolen bases (21)...Had 22 RBI, 88 total bases, 28 walks, a .496 on-base percentage and committed only one error...Had 25 multi-hit games, second on the team...Had four multi-RBI games...Went 5-for-6 with three runs, two RBI and a double against Wayne State (5/12) in the GLIAC Championship game...Hit .429 in the postseason (GLIAC and Midwest Region Tournament)...Went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in an extra inning win over Minnesota State (3/7)...Went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI against St. Joseph's (3/9)...Went 2-for-3 with three runs scored against both Urbana (3/17) and Wayne State (4/28)...Went 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI against Wayne State (4/28), capping off a day in which he went 4-for-6 with four runs and three RBI...Had six games with two stolen bases...Ended the season on a 21-game reached base streak, the longest of the season on the team.
High School: Prepped at Plymouth High School...Hit .470 his senior year with seven home runs, 38 RBI and a .920 slugging percentage...Had five triples and 15 stolen bases...Hit .406 as a junior with six triples, six home runs, a .512 on-base percentage, a .772 slugging percentage and 29 RBI...Named all-conference, all-area, all-district and team MVP...As a sophomore, he hit .416 with five triples, a .488 on-base percentage and a .564 slugging percentage while being named all-conference.
