The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced today that Grand Valley State captured the 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup title with a Division II record point total of 1,089.75 points in the maximum number of 15 sports. GVSU has won six consecutive titles and the 18 Learfield Directors' Cup crowns overall is a Division II record. The Lakers have finished among the top two in the final standings in each of the last 22 years the trophy has been presented. Grand Valley State has won 18-of-the-last-21 titles overall, have scored 1,000 or more points 11 times and hold the top 15 overall point totals. EMPORIA, Ks. – For the second time in program history, Grand Valley State has been named NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field Champion. It was Koby Fraaza who sealed the deal, finishing sixth in the men's 5000m to add three points to the men's team score just two days after winning the national title in the 10000m. The men scored 66 points over the three days, leading Pittsburg St. by five points to win the national title. EMPORIA, Ks. – This evening, Grand Valley State closed out the penultimate day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The day was highlighted by podium finishes by Isaac Tavo (men's discus), Braden Prielipp (high jump), Owen Westerkamp (3000m steeplechase), Flynn Pumpa (3000m steeplechase) and Noah Selvaraj (3000m steeplechase). Joshua Hurt advanced from the 110m hurdles to the finals and the men's 4x400m relay will make an appearance in tomorrow's finals.
