Doug Witte was named the Athletics Web and Graphic Designer in July, 2007. Prior to being hired in 2007, he served as a graduate assistant in the sports information office at Grand Valley State. From 2002-04, Witte worked with the Laker football program as a video assistant.
Witte's graphic design work has earned recognition from CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). In 2009 the women's soccer media guide earned best cover honors. He received three Division B Best Cover awards in 2008 for the football, soccer, and volleyball media guides. The 2006 volleyball and 2007 football covers designed by Doug were also named Best Cover by CoSIDA. His sports photography is regularly featured on gvsulakers.com and has been used by other media outlets such as NCAA.com, USA Today, The Grand Rapids Press, Yahoo! and ESPN.com.
Doug received a B.A. in Sports Management from Cornerstone University in 2002 and graduated with a M. Ed. in Adult and Higher Education from GVSU in 2007.
