Lisa Sweany started at GVSU in April, 2000. Sweany earned the title of Senior Associate Athletics Director in July, 2006. She also serves as the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA).

Sweany graduated from Tri-State University in 1991 with a B.A. in Business Administration. She continued her education and earned an M.A. in Sports Administration from Ball State University in 1996.
