Grand Valley State's women's track and field team tied with Slippery Rock and Shippensburg with the most individual athletes on the 2010 Division II All-Academic Team, as released by the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday (July 29). The Lakers were represented with 12 student-athletes on the 2010 list. (more)

The 18th Annual Tom Villemure Men's Basketball Golf Outing will be held August 28th at The Meadows Golf Course on the campus of Grand Valley State University. Cost to participate in this event is $125.00 per golfer, with a dinner to follow the day's festivities. The driving range will be open for golfers at 12:30 p.m., with a shotgun start slated for 1:30 p.m. For more information or to sign up as a team, please call assistant men's basketball coach Jeff Bauer at (616) 331-3630. The GVSU Athletic Ticket Office still has single-game tickets available for all home games of the upcoming 2010 season. The #2 Lakers will host six home games this season, including the nationally televised home opener against #13 West Texas A&M. A new era in Laker football history begins in 2010 as Matt Mitchell begins his reign as the seventh head coach in school history. (more)

Grand Valley State University Athletics is proud to announce the 2010 GVSU Football Mobile Ticket Tour. The tour was developed as way to take Grand Valley State football into the community and right to our fans. GVSU Athletics has partnered with Meijer, J&H Oil Convenience Stores, and other local businesses to make up the extensive tour. The tour will visit over 30 sites in the West Michigan area in just a 36-day period. (more)
