Countryside Greenhouse GVSU Student-Athlete of the Week
Giancarlo Brugnoni has been named the Countryside Greenhouse GVSU Student-Athlete of the Week. He had a solid week at the plate and came up big when it counted. On the final day of the GLIAC Tournament Giancarlo hit two home runs, one that tied the first game in the ninth, and a grand slam in the deciding game. Brugnoni pitched in six RBI during the Lakers 21-6 victory in the championship game. The Lakers claimed the GLIAC Tournament Championship for the seventh time in nine years.
