Daniel Vanek has been named the GVSU Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Mike Lints Alumni Open this past weekend. Vanek broke his own shot put school record of 18.59 meters with a throw of 19.09 meters making it the top throw in the country by nearly three feet. His throw is also a Kelly Family Sports Center record.
